The ankle stabilizer and pain relief orthosis is designed for effective stabilization of the ankle during both daytime and nighttime use. It features a plastic splint that extends over the base of the fifth metatarsal bone and is secured to the foot with multiple straps, providing a protective partial immobilization of the ankle. The thin, lightweight design is anatomically contoured to ensure maximum comfort and convenience, whether worn with or without a shoe.

The special design of the orthosis prioritizes comfort and ease of use. Anatomically contoured velour straps make it easy to put on, while the very flat fastenings securely hold the orthosis in place without slipping upward. Additionally, a soft, anatomically contoured pad covers the lateral side of the ankle, and the straps and splints secure the upper and lower ankle joint regardless of the type of footwear being worn.

To ensure correct fit and sizing, all sizing is based on the individual's shoe size. It is recommended to refer to the sizing chart and video to determine the correct sizing for the orthosis.

The orthosis is designed to provide stabilization for partial immobilization of the ankle. It includes a cut out in the lateral malleolus area to accommodate severe swelling, and an integrated pronation wedge that raises the hindfoot and relieves lateral ligaments. Additionally, four adjustable Velcro straps allow for easy application and proper fit.

This orthosis is used to help treat and prevent various ankle issues, including ankle ligament tear (conservative treatment), post-operative care following ligamental suturing/reconstruction, post-traumatic sinus tarsi syndrome, instability of the subtalar joint, instability of the upper and/or lower ankle joint, chronic instability, and other ankle pain symptoms.
